The GroundHound Site-safety Warning System Now Available on Android Too

Advantage Electronic Product Development, the firm that designed and distributes the GroundHound Site-Safety Warning System™ is excited to announce the release of the Android Application for the instrument, which considerably broadens the number of smartphones that can now operate the instrument. The first application release was for Apple’s iPhone, iPod, iPad. The Android version will be features at the utility industry’s leading education event … the iP (incident prevention) Utility Safety Conference & Expo in Louisville, KY in (exact date here) October.
Remotely controlled by a smartphone such as Apple’s iPhone or Samsung’s Android the GroundHound measures, warns against and records ground potential rise on high-voltage work sites. Included in the list of ground potential rise hazards that are alarmed are fast transient surges. Crucial to the safety of the instruments use is the ability to view events on a remote device. It means that there is no need for a high-voltage worker to walk over dangerous ground to view measurements to have comprehensive situational awareness of the job site. All alarms and readings are logged and time stamped providing comprehensive information.
